My problem is that I have a logo in AutoCAD and it needs to be converted to ProE. I am trying to export the .dwg to a .sat. So I do the following>File>Export> change the file type to .sat then push save> select objects. I select objects and it doesn't save and gives me an error>No solids, regions or ShapeManager bodies selected. ????

CAD Guy,
I found this in AutoCAD help. If your Logo is not a solid, a region or a ShapeManager body, the SAT export isn't going to work. If you're needing your lines and arcs etc. you might want to try another export method that will work with Pro-E.

You can export certain object types to an ACIS file in ASCII (SAT) format.
You can export ShapeManager objects representing trimmed NURBS surfaces, regions, and solids to an ACIS file
in ASCII (SAT) format. Other objects, such as lines and arcs, are ignored.
Selected objects that are not solids or regions are ignored, and the Create ACIS File dialog box is displayed. Enter
the name of the file you want to create. The selected objects are exported to an ASCII file.

I appreciate your help but that is exactly what I did and it does not work. Any other suggestions would be great.
