I believe I am one of the few who use AutoCAD 2009 to actually use the ribbon. Does anyone know where the setting is for the ribbon to load everytime you open a drawing? If I open a fresh drawing by double clicking on the desktop icon the ribbon will load. However, if I open an existing drawing from my network drive the ribbon does not load. So I type "ribbon" in the command line and it loads. Then, if I need to view another drawing, when I open another drawing the ribbon disappears. How do I set autocad to load the ribbon everytime.

AutoCAD 2009 loads using its new Ribbon Menu Interface. If you prefer you may set it back to the Classic Interface by switching to the AutoCAD Classic Workspace. AutoCAD Mechanical 2009 loads with the Classic Interface by default. An easy way to switch back to the Ribbon Interface is to type in RIBBON and it will open it back up. Here are two very interesting sites you may want to check out about the new AutoCAD 2009 Ribbon Interface.
