I am starting this new thread as part of a series of threads for symbols libraries. This particular thread will be only for Architectural Symbols. It would pay to check in now and then to see if there is anything new posted. I will have a list below dated so that you will know how current the posting was. I have made some vast improvements to these codes with the help and suggestions of others from this site. It is very important that I get your feedback. This is how these improvements get started. I want to give special thanks to Viper, Russell, Zeanor, and J Moreno for their help and suggestions. Also I want to mention that there is another thread showing a way to load all these programs in one shot and call them up when needed by way of a pulldown menu. Remember to check back for future postings on this first post.
Lets Get Going,
The Buzzard
The latest revision of Architectural Door Symbols is attached below.
I could have put a bit more into it,
But everyone else would have nothing to do.
Let me ask you something?
Do you see any need for changes to it?
Or, is it OK the way it is now?
Think about it and let me know.
Well, I'm not an architect. But I have draw up a few house plans for myself and relatives. I guess you would want to include the most common items in your auto-generated block library, like windows and steps or stairs. And then keep adding items as you think of them. I find your program pretty amazing! With only one lsp file you save disk space by creating the blocks on the fly, and you get to view them also with 0 slide files. What more could anyone else ask for?
All of that is on the way. I will be building these programs by category. I also will be making a similar program for door elevations. It will be kind of like a poor mans Architectural Suite. You can place all of the commands to start these programs with that new menu that I posted on the other thread. When I think that I am close to done with this thread, I will start another thread for a different disipline. The whole idea behind this, Was to save time browsing for blocks. Now I realize that not everyone does things the same way or uses the same blocks, But most of these programs are similar and formated for easy reading. The user can make the changes to these program to the way they do things. When you see things the same way over and over it begins to sink in and the light bulb comes on. If these programs can be used the way that they are, Well that is a homerun. All of the new programs will be posted to the first post of this thread. At the bottom of that post I have begun the list and will keep on adding to that.
